TV ad

Created a TV ad for the new Nissan Pulsar where the car magically pieced together around our main actor. To make this shot look as realistic as possible, nearly all the assembly of the car was done in camera, and we only used a hint of post production to pull it all together. We had an Art Department dismantle 2 cars and use various tricks to recreate this effect.

We also had a transformer like car built, which came together using hydraulics.

We recreated a dash board and steering wheel that could be dissembled. We had our actor hold on to the wheel and let go, using fishing wire we pulled it apart. We then played the scene in reverse to make it look like the car was piecing it self together. Below is the original footage played in reverse to show the effect.
